Wake County Economic Development
DCI helped rebrand and market America’s most livable life sciences epicenter.
The Research Triangle needed to refresh its economic development approach. This vibrant region in North Carolina anchored by Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill, and home to 7,000 companies, needed a new talent attraction campaign.
Consistently ranked among the most livable regions nationwide, the Research Triangle region boasts an educated talent pipeline and thousands of well-paying jobs in tech. However, having won several major projects from companies like Google and Apple, the influx of new high-skill job opportunities was threatening the region's ability to fulfill its economic growth. The Research Triangle needed a highly-targeted destination marketing strategy focused on retention of the target audience of existing employees and new hires from talent markets across the U.S.
DCI’s problem solvers developed a refreshed website, key messaging and designed an integrated place marketing strategy to capture new talent for the region. The marketing campaign and recruitment strategy included a robust social media strategy, unique video series, gated content capacity and an aggressive paid advertising program to attract job seekers and create a top talent pool from external markets.
