Propelled by a New Brand and Marketing Strategy, the Region Emerges as the North Carolina Economic Development Powerhouse.
With a talent pool of more than 2 million people fueled by access to 30+ colleges and universities, four new megasites and an exceptionally strong business climate, central North Carolina offered companies a strategic location between Charlotte and the Research Triangle. The region just needed a brand and plan.
The Challenge
An emerging corridor at the heart of North Carolina anchored by Greensboro, High Point and Winston-Salem offered four prime megasites, skilled talent and large-scale opportunity for global companies, but the region had no cohesive brand or marketing strategy on how to promote the assets to corporate executives and site selection consultants. DCI developed a new NC Carolina Core brand for the region in 2018, as well as a messaging platform and economic development marketing strategy.
The Solution
After conducting extensive research, DCI developed a new Carolina Core brand for the region in 2018, as well as a messaging platform and economic development marketing strategy. DCI was then engaged to activate the plan. Our work over the span of several years integrated site selection consultant outreach, digital advertising, media relations, thought leadership, e-newsletters, collateral, video and more.
