With Super Bowl 2021 hosted at the Raymond James Stadium, Visit Florida sought to make Tampa the MVP of the biggest game of the year.

 

Strategy

Maximize the opportunity to garner broadcast coverage for Florida before the big game by identifying producers who were seeking Super Bowl stories, researching talent from Florida who could bring to life Florida’s lifestyle stories on TV, and matching the storyteller with the market in which the segment would air.

Results

  • Secured two segments on NBC Today, two segments on ABC’s Good Morning America, segments on CBS Sunday Morning and Cheddar TV, and dozens of segments on regional broadcast shows across the country.
  • From interviews with the Mayor of Tampa and Visit Tampa’s CEO to discuss safety measures and the economic impact of the Big Game to lifestyle segments with local chefs, Clearwater Aquarium’s Nicolas The Dolphin and penguins at the Florida Aquarium, Visit Florida scored big!
