Understanding the Role of Travel PR During the COVID-19 Crisis

The tourism industry is suffering, and we’re all waiting to pick up the pieces.

Moving forward in a post-COVID-19 world, public relations efforts will be key. They will help travel businesses and the customers regain the confidence and hope that will rebuild the tourism industry.

To get ahead of the curve, SATW and Development Counsellors International (DCI) teamed up for a study of travel public relations. They employed an online survey at the end of March 2020. The research sought to understand how travel public relations professionals in both the U.S. and Canada have been coping with the global pandemic.

The key findings include what PR professionals are pitching to the media now, how they are spending their days, and what sort of budget cuts and downsizing they are facing. These takeaways will all be helpful moving forward for destinations to understand what to expect. Download the free report below to inform your strategies before taking your next steps.
