It also illustrates where and how they plan and book travel during every stage, including the typical number of travel website visits and page views, destination considerations, trip resources and influences. In Canada, travellers spend more than one month thinking about their trip — four days longer than non-Canadians — and nearly 40 days planning it. Canadian travellers’ booking occurs more than two months prior to going on their trip — four days shorter than the average. The research also reveals that 62 percent of Canadian travellers have no particular destination in mind or consider multiple destinations prior to choosing one, which highlights the opportunity for destination inspiration during the planning and research phases.
