DCI is delighted to announce that Sarah Reinecke has been promoted to Vice President, Creative Services. Sarah joined DCI in 2013, trading a journalism career for one in marketing and has since distinguished herself as a strategic place marketer who provides exceptional client service for numerous long-term clients. She currently manages and works with eight clients, developing creative, integrated campaigns that align with each destination’s brand.

Sarah graduated from the University of South Dakota with a degree in print journalism. Prior to DCI, she worked as a business and city council reporter at the Sioux Falls Argus Leader, the state’s largest newspaper. Her background in journalism helps her craft the stories of places in a unique and fresh way, and she excels at identifying creative solutions that help destinations stand out as prime locations for business, talent and visitors. Sarah’s ability to expertly craft messages and outline strategic, innovative campaigns helps enable clients to reach their target audiences.

“Sarah is a storyteller at heart who successfully transitioned from her DCI roots in PR to Creative Services,” says Dariel Curren, Executive Vice President. “She is highly strategic when it comes to creating marketing and branding blueprints for economic development, tourism and talent attraction clients. Her keen sense of design coupled with her strong writing capabilities and knowledge of all of DCI’s service areas make her an incredible asset to the agency.”

In addition to her expertise in all things place marketing, Sarah also embraces a passion for places. Though she considers Colorado her “home base”, she’s spent the last few years living and working remotely from cities in Maine, Maryland, West Virginia, Wisconsin and New Mexico while her husband has worked as a travel nurse for various hospitals. When she’s not working, Sarah enjoys a variety of outdoor activities, including hiking, snowboarding, camping and rafting. In 2023, Sarah will continue serving clients by developing innovative campaigns and she will take the lead in building out our video services.

Congrats, Sarah! We can’t wait to see you thrive in this new role.
