DCI Marketing Summit
August 20 and August 27, 2020 | Virtual
DCI Marketing Summit 2020
Are you a senior level economic development marketing professional with at least ten years of experience?
If so, we invite you to join DCI’s senior leadership team and your counterparts from around the country for DCI’s 8th Annual Marketing Summit, bringing together experience and innovation. DCI’s Marketing Summit is an interactive experience revolving around peer-determined sessions that tackle the industry’s most pressing issues, challenges, and questions. While the itinerary and topics for discussion looked a bit different when our team first started planning this event in January, we are embracing the opportunity to pivot and address some of today’s most pressing topics including COVID-19 impact and recovery, diversity and inclusion, DCI’s latest talent perception research, Talent Wars, and more – all virtually.
This year’s Marketing Summit will take place online over the course of two days: Thursday August 20 & Thursday August 27, 2020 from 2pm – 5pm ET (11am – 2pm PT). To apply, you must be able to attend both sessions and have at least a decade of experience in the industry. Applications may be submitted below. Attendance is limited to 30 people.
The price for the DCI Marketing Summit is $495/person and includes access to both days of the Summit, breakout sessions to foster networking opportunities and intimate discussions, your own copy of DCI’s newly published research Talent Wars, and a welcome box mailed to your residence.
Day one will focus on race, diversity, and inclusion as it relates to economic development marketing and building equitable communities. This session will be facilitated by Tracye McDaniel, President of TIP Strategies in collaboration with DCI’s President, Julie Curtin. Participants will also get the first look at the findings of DCI’s latest talent attraction research, Talent Wars, on this day before the report is officially released
Day two will cover COVID-19 including recovery strategies, digital tools, and campaigns to help address the impact of the pandemic on communities. We’ll focus on best practices, successful examples and innovative campaigns that are inspiring communities working to sustain a healthy economy.
While the general themes are established, The Marketing Summit agenda is peer driven. Once attendees are confirmed, a survey will be distributed via email for registrants to provide feedback on the agenda topics to make sure DCI delivers exactly what you’re looking to learn.
Join fellow senior-level marketing peers around the country who are all working diligently to navigate 2020. We invite you to come, learn and grow together, contributing to a stronger and more inclusive industry.
