Strategy
Utilize a “predictive model” to identify companies exhibiting changes that forecast a site location need. Schedule in-person appointments and teleconference opportunities with prospective investors with an interest in investment. Qualify each interested company to ensure they met the program guidelines for project size and timeline.
As a direct result of DCI’s work, Amgen announced a joint venture with Astellas Pharma in May 2013 to provide new medicines in Japan.
Results
- DCI arranged a total of 19 face-to-face meetings between corporate decision makers and JETRO’s team in New York City.
- The outreach campaign also identified 44 suspects that represent future investment opportunities.
- Of the companies contacted during the relationship, major life sciences company Amgen moved forward with an investment in Japan.
