DCI Honors the Resilient Efforts of Economic Developers Across the Globe—Join Us in Celebrating 2021 Economic Development Week
May 5, 2021 | By: Julie Curtin“ Resilience is the capacity of a system, enterprise, or person to maintain its core purpose and integrity in the face of dramatically changed circumstances.”

Swiftly changing circumstances, purposeful decision making and managing resilient EDOs certainly define the last 14 months in the life of an economic developer. Our hats are off to you!
This year especially we are honored to be celebrating Economic Development Week (#EDW2021) as a way of amplifying the important contributions that economic development organizations and professionals make to their economies and communities throughout the year.
From May 9 – 15, the DCI team and communities across the globe will be participating in the 2021 Economic Development Week, which was created by the International Economic Development Council.
As we reflect on the past year, we are inspired by the creativity, resilience, and compassion of EDOs as they supported their communities in the midst of such unexpected circumstances. From supporting local businesses with innovative campaigns, to designing nontraditional paths to source talent for their companies, to nurturing diverse and inclusive communities, we are proud to have supported the innovative programs and campaigns of economic developers worldwide.
As a way to celebrate our clients, friends and partners who are doing great work in economic development, we invite you to add your own logo to this infographic and to share on your social media channels, perhaps with a personal message or a call out to a specific leader or effort. Our team is also available to add your logo for you.
We are hopeful that the tough lessons learned this last year will only strengthen and advance the entire industry of economic development.
In celebration of economic developers everywhere,
Julie Curtin
