Development Counsellors International’s (DCI) is pleased to announce the promotion of Stella Tsitsipatis to Account Director within its Tourism Practice.
Stella joined DCI in 2015 as an Account Manager to implement business events (MICE) sales and marketing programs for international destinations and venues. In the past three years, she secured more than 190 RFPs/bids across association, corporate and incentive segments, and worked on behalf of DCI’s clients to help confirm 54 programs.
During Stella’s tenure at DCI, she has represented a variety of destinations and convention centers, including Abu Dhabi, Barcelona, Milan, Peru, Rotterdam, Thailand, The Hague, and the U.S. Virgin Islands in the business events space.
“Stella excels at relationship building and importantly, she has a deep understanding of how critical genuine relationships are in the MICE industry. She fosters connections between meeting planners and DCI clients with the ultimate goal of increasing the number of association and corporate programs on behalf of our clients,” noted Daniella Middleton, Vice President of DCI’s Tourism Practice. “She challenges clients to augment their sales and marketing tactics to better suit the North American market.”
“We’re fortunate that Stella also understands the principles of effective public relations. In her new position, Stella will expand her responsibilities to include staff development, thought leadership and strategy planning within DCI’s Business Events division.
A graduate of Baruch College – The City University of New York, with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing Management, Stella is currently working towards her CMP accreditation.
