Every parent can agree that seeing your baby succeed after letting them fly the nest makes all the hard work it takes to get your labor of love out into the real world well worth it. Which is why we’re pleased as punch to share that the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (COEDIT) can hang not one, but two economic development awards on their mantel after this year’s award season.

DCI and COEDIT are the proud recipients of the International Economic Development Council’s (IEDC) Gold Excellence in Economic Development Award in the General Purpose Website category, and a MarCom Gold Award in the Government Website, Digital Media category.  These two awards recognize as an innovative website that serves its community by showcasing the extra-ordinary business and lifestyle opportunities in Colorado.

Drawing on digital best practices and a spirit of storytelling from outside the industry, ChooseColorado launched on August 1, 2016, setting a new standard for economic development websites, proving that government digital media can be both inspirational and functional.  If you haven’t already, check out five of our favorite things we love about this website baby of ours.
