Outside Magazine Selects DCI as One of the 100 Best Places to Work in 2014

Outside Magazine Best Places to Work 2014Woot! Yes, that was my reaction when I learned that OUTSIDE magazine had named DCI as one of its 100 Best Places to Work in 2014!

Don’t get me wrong, after 20 years of working at DCI I’m not surprised that we are being recognized among the top 100 companies in the United States that helps our staff strike the ideal balance between work and play – I’m just delighted that we are getting some ink for it!

I’m especially proud that this recognition is the result of a survey conducted with our own staff – our team of place makers in New York City, Denver, Los Angeles and Toronto – who have a passion for what they do, and are finding meaning in their work on behalf of the cities, states, provinces and countries we represent around the world.

As you can imagine, DCI is honored to have achieved this recognition from our own staff, and honored to be among the 100 Best Places to Work in 2014!

According to OUTSIDE Executive Editor Michael Roberts, “These companies set the standard for workplaces that really value their employees and offer an experience that’s fulfilling inside and outside the office.”

While our own roster of clients representing places around the globe tends to offer significant opportunity outside the office, our company culture that supports health and wellness (yoga on Tuesdays!), paid maternity leave, individual professional development budgets, DCI Care Days and Summer Fridays offers lots of opportunities to strike that “work hard, play hard” balance.

So if you’re considering a career change or searching for your dream job, I’d encourage you to check out the Careers page on our website, or connect with me personally to hear more about why OUTSIDE magazine chose us as one of its 100 Best Places to Work in 2014!
