Texas Goes “Speed Dating” With Site Selectors in NYC
Nurturing solid relationships with site selectors is critical. I could not have asked for a better event.
Governor Greg Abbott and economic development and industry leaders from Texas wanted to engage directly with site selectors during their mission to New York City.
The DCI Strategy
DCI orchestrated a major two-part event to put Governor Abbott and Texas leaders in direct contact with leading site selectors in the New York metro area to spread the word of Texas’ advantages as a business location.
- DCI organized a “speed dating” session for 16 New York-based site selectors and 28 Texans, providing each the opportunity to have face time to discuss recent relocation and expansion news and opportunities in the pipeline.
- Following the “speed dating” session, the site selectors joined the Texas delegation for a luncheon where they were able to continue to discuss opportunities to work together.
- Governor Abbott gave a keynote speech at the luncheon, informing the site selectors of Texas’ latest legislative updates and key business advantages.
- Members of the Texas delegation gained or reinforced valuable relationships with the site selectors, while the site selectors were better informed about the advantages of doing business in Texas.
