DCI Toronto Moves To Exchange Tower
April 13, 2017
When Development Counsellors International began working in the Canadian market in 2009, the agency partners saw it as a business opportunity to tap into the Canadian travel and media markets. The original office space was humble — a shared office space near the St. Lawrence Market. From there, the agency relocated to a small co-working space in the young, artsy neighborhood of Queen West.
Today, the ever-growing Toronto branch of DCI has seven full-time staff members and counting, prompting the need for relocation. On March 20, the DCI Toronto office began working out of their brand-new office in Toronto’s Financial District on the major commercial hub of King Street West, in Exchange Tower, where the Canadian Stock Exchange is located.
“We’re pleased to be in a LEED certified building, with strong access to public transportation and access to shopping and dining amenities– allowing us to reinforce our commitment to sustainability and to helping our staff embrace life and work satisfaction,” notes Karyl Leigh Barnes, Managing Partner of DCI’s Tourism Practice.
With unparalleled transportation access, the new DCI Toronto office is a short walk away from Toronto’s Union Station, as well as numerous subway stations which provide easy access to the office for DCI employees and clients alike.
“Our relocation to Exchange Tower, places us in close proximity to Canada’s business leaders, top media companies, tour operators and meeting planners,” says Andrew Levine, President of Development Counsellors International.
In addition to the new office’s ease of access, the neighborhood lies directly north of Toronto’s Entertainment District, which is home to numerous Toronto attractions such as the CN Tower, Canada Walk of Fame and more. The Toronto office also enjoys proximity to a plethora of the city’s best restaurants, hotels, theatre and arts venues.
The relocation of the Toronto office is a reminder of DCI’s continued efforts to expand its destination marketing footprint in Canada. Over the years the agency has worked for such destination brands as Australia, California, Chile, Florida’s Palm Beaches, Peru and Tahiti.
The new office space provides suitable options for hosting clients visiting Toronto. Now, DCI is able to utilize the many facilities offered in the Exchange Tower that are both superbly comfortable and professional. With a new office space and a bright vision for the future of DCI Canada, DCI is able leave a lasting, positive impression that is reflective of our agency’s culture and strong work ethic.
